Happy Birthday Kade!

Not quite sure how he went from this

 to this:

This has been the fastest year of my life, hands down!  Ironically, getting Kade here was one of the slowest EVER.   2 rounds of IVF, hundreds of shots, 1 scary abruption, 2 ambulance rides, 1 week in the hospital, and 10 weeks of bed rest later, this little sweetie was finally here.  We are so blessed he is here with us when it could have easily been God's plan for him not to stay.  Kade is such a ray of sunshine and we just adore him! (As well as everyone else who meets him.) Love you Kader-bug!

Milestones and things that I love about Kade:
*He is a mama's boy! Finally :)
*Has two cute little teeth and is so happy and smiley.
*Loves his blanket, dirt, rocks, dancing, and playing outside.
*Says lots of words-mom, dad, Gav, up, yeah, blanky, stinky, kiss, this, baba, and makes car noises.
*Has a permanent bruise on his head from trying to walk too fast.  Taking 3-5 steps.
*Is obsessed with our vacuum and leads me to the closet several times a day so he can play with it.
*Scoots all over like a monkey (half crawl/half scoot)
*Loves Gavin but loves his toys more. Is a big teaser.
* Has the sweetest, purest laugh and chubby cheeks.
*Not a great eater but is starting to like bananas and graham crackers.  He's in the 25th % for weight, 30th % for height, and 95th% for head.  Our boys have big brains.  :)
*Has a million nicknames: Kader, Kader Vader, Kader-bug. punkin pie, chunk-a hunk....

Tonsils

Gavin had his tonsils and adenoids taken out in May because of sleep apnea.  They were ginormous!  (a really technical term used by his Dr. ) They were so big that when he'd eat, food would get stuck on his tonsils. Gavin did really well after the surgery but had trouble with the pain medicine.  Lortab made him soo CRAZY!  He literally bounced off the walls until we switched to Tylenol and Motrin. He was so brave though-- a lot braver than his parents. Gavin loved having Grandma Barbara come stay with us and thinks we should continue to eat popsicles and ice cream all day long, every day!

Memorial day

Easter

Is it better to catch up on your blog or move on and pretend like Easter didn't happen?  :)

Easter morning at Grandma's house.

Only in Idaho/Utah would there be snow at the Easter egg hunt! We weren't prepared of course for snow so Kayson let Gavin borrow a coat.  Thanks!
